The Audacity Society
Creating a career on your own terms. Fifty founding members. Applications close November 20 or when the seats fill.
$1,750 for the year, locked at that rate for life. Members expense it every month.
The core idea
A name of your own gives you options.
Some women in this community are building to leave. Some are building to stay. Some are building so a layoff would be an inconvenience instead of a crisis. Some are already out, building to grow.
Every one of them is building, so the decision is hers.
It means finally getting the promotion and the raise you have been waiting on. It means the next role finds you and you decide whether to take it. It means naming your price and holding it. It means building the runway to leave and go all in on yourself. It means the business you already have stops depending on you chasing every client. It means staying exactly where you are because you decided to.
There are women in here who will stay in their corporate roles for another decade and retire from them. Then there are some that are building a runway to leave. And many others who left that part behind. We have some who even went back into a full-time role on purpose after building a business.
Every one of those is a win, and they all run on the same thing built first. A group of people outside your company who know your name and what you are good at, before you ever need them to.
That is what this room builds. Build it until the choice is yours.
What this covers
Two of us teach directly, live, every month.
With Nikki
If you are still employed, she covers building in public while you are on somebody else's payroll. What to post and what to leave alone. How to become known in your industry rather than only inside your company, so opportunity arrives without you applying for it. Getting your name onto bylines, panels, and stages, which counts as leadership development at review time and follows you everywhere after. And the question underneath all of it, which is who you are without the title.
If you are already out, she covers the machine that brings people to you. Positioning, your profile, your story, content that sounds like you, media, speaking, and pricing you say out loud. The work of becoming someone people can find and want to hire.
She took her own audience from 2,400 to past 50,000 and 25 million impressions from a standing start, and she built the first stretch of it while holding a full-time job.
With Aparna
The entity, the contracts, the onboarding, the delivery, the invoicing, the renewals, and the systems that carry all of it so the business stops running on you remembering things. If you are still employed, she covers the other version. Using AI on the parts of your job nobody promotes you for. Getting your week back from work that wants all of it. Building on nights and weekends in a way that holds. Capturing proof of your impact so your next review has evidence in it rather than adjectives.
She spent a decade inside Amazon, Zillow, and Flatiron Health, and she is in a full-time role right now.
The Guest Table
Everything built on top of those two comes from the people we bring into the room.
Our expert guest speakers have built stable corporate careers and stayed in them by choice. Left and built businesses. Sold books to publishers. Turned one keynote into a second income. Grown an audience from nothing and made a living from it. Whatever version of you there is now, somebody on our guest list has already done it and will sit down and walk you through how.
A woman three years out from a VP title and a woman who signed her first client last Tuesday need different things this month. Both of them get what they came for in here.
Between us and the women we have helped build
What you will have
You will say what you do, who it is for, and why you, in one sentence, without hedging.
Your name will exist somewhere other than your company's org chart. A profile that works, a body of writing behind it, and people who associate you with something specific.
You will have posted long enough to know what your audience responds to, with data behind it rather than a feeling.
You will have a number you say out loud and hold, whether that is a rate or a salary.
You will have proof of your own impact written down, which is a promotion packet in one life and a case study in another.
You will know how your work actually runs, and which parts of it depend on you remembering things.
You will have fifty women who know your name and what you are building, and who send things your way.
And you will have an answer to the question underneath all of this. If the call came tomorrow, what happens.
The three tracks
Corporate Insiders
You are good at your job, and you know that being good at your job is not protection. You want a presence that exists outside your employer, built on your own terms, useful every day you have it and ready if you ever need it.
Corporate Escapees
You have a date in mind, or a number you need to hit first. What you need now is to know what to say publicly, what to charge, and how much of this has to be standing before you give notice.
Corporate Dropouts
You are out and the work is real. Now you want the visibility to bring people to you and the operations underneath it to hold what shows up.
People read 01, 02, 03 as a ladder, with the goal of reaching the top. That is not how any of this goes.
We have dropouts who took a full-time role and are building on the side now. We have escapees who left and are running the thing they were planning. We have insiders who read the room for six months and then set a date. Every one of those is a move forward, including the ones that look like moving backward.
Switch whenever your life switches. Tell the room when you do. Somebody in here has already made the exact move you are about to make, and she will tell you what she wishes she had known.
Why us
Between us, we have gone back and forth across all three tracks, and we are still moving.
I was Director of Marketing at Forbes, and I was laid off on a fifteen-minute call on a Friday morning. My entire identity was tied to a title that was taken from me. I had to build from scratch.
Insider. I took another full-time role. What I did differently that time was build loudly while I held it. My name, my writing, my audience, in public, while I was still on somebody else's payroll.
Escapee. I got pregnant with my second kid, and that set my date. I left and went into my business full time.
Dropout. That business is now multi-six figures and runs completely inbound on an audience past 50,000, a full roster, a waitlist, and a team.
Since then I have helped women build at every one of those stages. Women at Mastercard, Google, Visa, Meta, Amazon, and McDonald's building while employed. Founders and solopreneurs from their first client through multiple six-figure clients.
I spent a decade in product and UX research at Amazon, Zillow, and Flatiron Health, working on where the tool ends and the person begins.
Dropout. I left and built AKB Coaching & Consulting, created The Redesign Method and the Client Systems Audit, and started rebuilding businesses that ran on their founder alone.
Insider, again. I am now in a full-time role while building this. On purpose, eyes open, and it is the right call for my family right now.
I say that out loud because a room like this can end up telling only the leaving story, and then it loses the women whose real answer is more complicated. Mine is. If your version of this includes a paycheck, permanently or for now, you belong in here.
Between us: laid off, employed, building on the side, out, back in, out again. There is no version of this you can bring us that one of us has not already lived.
What membership includes
Monthly, live with Nikki
Full workshops, monthly, live with Nikki. Positioning, your profile, your story, content that sounds like you, media, speaking, and the pieces that turn a profile into inbound work. Bring what you are working on and leave with it fixed.
Monthly, live with Aparna
Full workshops, monthly, live with Aparna. The back half of the business. Entity, contracts, onboarding, delivery, invoicing, renewals, and the proof you capture along the way. Built on her Client Systems Audit, so you always know which stage you are working on and which comes next.
Discussion and open Q&A on the three things this room is about: navigating it while you are inside corporate, leaving, and being out. Sometimes the two of us, sometimes a guest who has done the version you are staring at. These run as conversation and the questions come from the room.
Regular guest speakers we actually want in the room. Women who built corporate careers and stayed by choice, women who left and built businesses, authors, keynote speakers, creators who grew an audience and turned it into income, and the operators and specialists behind all of them. They go deep on one thing and stay for the questions afterward. Founding members pick who we invite.
Where the work in progress goes. Post the version you have not polished and get an answer from someone who has already been through it. Track channels for the conversations specific to where you are, plus rooms open to everyone.
Everything we hand our paying clients, opened to the room. Our ebooks, checklists, templates, profile teardowns, content frameworks, positioning worksheets, systems maps, and the recording of every session we run. It grows every month you are a member.
What is working on LinkedIn right now, from someone testing it every day. Format changes, reach changes, what is getting suppressed without an announcement, and what all of it means for how you post this week.
Reduced pricing on the tools you already pay for. We have partnered with Granola, Monday.com, Canva, and Adobe for member rates, and we are adding more. Founding members also get reduced pricing on everything else we sell, including the Accelerator and one-on-one work.
In real life
A community that only exists in a browser tab is a group chat with a subscription.
We are running real events in real cities, starting with New York in Spring 2027. Every founding member has a seat at that first one.
After New York, we go to hub cities, and founding members decide which. Wherever enough of you are, that is where we go next. Dinners first, then full-day sessions as the room grows.
There is a specific thing that happens when a woman who is still employed sits at a table with a woman who left two years ago and a woman who went back on purpose. It is worth flying for.
The founding fifty
We are opening this to fifty women and running the first six months with them before it goes public. Applications run through November, December is spent building the thing together, and the doors open January 11.
That is deliberate. We have both built cohorts and communities before, and the ones that work get built with the people in them. So the session calendar, the archive, the guest list, and the shape of it get decided in the room, with you in it, starting in October.
The founding seat
Paid in full, once a year. Locked for life means every renewal, for as long as you stay a member, at the rate you joined at.
Claim a founding seatAfter the founding round
What everyone who joins after the founding fifty pays, every year. Founding members never see this number.
Fifty seats. Applications close November 20 or when they fill.
Founding members get:
Your rate locked for life
A direct say in what gets built, from session topics to the guest list
A welcome box in the mail in December, before we open
Founding member swag and launch goodies, sent to you and sold nowhere
A seat at the first in-person event in New York in Spring 2027
Founding member status inside the community, permanently
Everything the full-price members get later, at the price you locked
Timeline
October and November
Applications open on a rolling basis. We read them as they arrive and fill seats as we go, so the fifty may close before the date does.
November 20
Applications close.
November 23 to 24
Decisions go out, before Thanksgiving. Accepted members secure their seat and fill out the welcome form.
December
Founding preseason. Your box and your swag arrive, we run a kickoff call, and the fifty of you vote on the first sessions, the salon topics, and who we invite to The Guest Table. The calendar for January is built by the people who will be in the room for it.
January 11, 2027
The community opens. Founding members are in from day one, with a calendar they chose.
January through June
Six months of sessions, salons, and guests.
Spring 2027
The first in-person event in New York. Every founding member has a seat.
June 2027
The public opening. Your rate stays where it is.
Apply
Ten questions, about five minutes.
Every application, both of us. You hear back within a week, or by November 24 at the latest.
Accepted members secure their seat, spend December helping build the calendar, and walk in on January 11.
Before you apply
Is this a LinkedIn community or a business community?
Both, and more than both. Nikki teaches the personal brand side every month and Aparna teaches the business side. Guests cover the rest, from corporate careers to books, speaking, and building an audience. You use the parts that match where you are this month and the rest is there when you get to it.
Do I have to want to leave my job?
No. Women in here are staying in their corporate roles, and some of them will stay another decade. What they want is the option, the network outside their company, and a name that travels with them. Aparna is in a full-time role right now.
Why is it $1,750 if it will be $2,250 later?
Because you are joining before it is finished and helping decide what it becomes. That is worth a real discount, and the discount does not expire on you. Founding members hold this rate at every renewal, for as long as they stay.
Can I expense this?
Often, yes. Ask us and we will send an itemized invoice, our W-9, and a justification letter written for your manager or for your business.
Can I pay quarterly?
Not for the founding round. The founding seat is annual, paid in full. One payment, one rate, and it holds for as long as you stay.
Why only fifty people?
So both of us are actually in the room with you building this together. You get to shape the future of this community.
What if I apply after the seats fill?
You go on the waitlist for the next intake, and we send you a discount code when it opens.
What if I pick the wrong track?
Switch it. Members move through more than one, and the full space is open to you regardless.
Do I need to be running a business already?
No. Corporate Insiders are employed full-time. Building a name starts well before you leave, and for plenty of women it never involves leaving.
Is this the same as Nikki's cohort?
No. The cohort is a structured program with a curriculum and a finish line. This is an ongoing room with live sessions, people, and resources, and it renews every year.
Is this the same as the Audacity Accelerator?
No. The Accelerator is six weeks of one-on-one work with both of us. Members get first access and reduced pricing.
Why the gap between applying and opening?
Because we are building this with you rather than handing it to you finished. December is founding preseason. Your box arrives, we run a kickoff call, and the fifty of you choose the first sessions, the salon topics, and the guests. You walk into a calendar you picked on January 11.
What happens after June?
Nothing changes for you except that more people join. Your rate holds, your founding status holds, and you keep everything that got built.
Build it until the choice is yours.
